Freeze hasl damaged Ole Miss more than Orgeron, Nutt, and James Meredith combined...

Hollywood could not write a better script... sanctimonious new coach lifts long-dormant UM football fortunes to the heavens, only to have it all implode catastrophically in front of everyone.

All those black football players the new savior professed his love for turned out to be little more than pawns to be corrupted by cash and cars and drugs. Plantation life 21st century style.

Ole Miss's obvious infractions will allow NCAA enforcement to bank a few years of credibility. Ninety-five per cent of college football fans will agree with anything and everything this side of the death penalty. The only risk for them would be to under-punish. They won't. (North Carolina should send Hugh Freeze a thank you note.)

In the meantime, Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss have damaged Christianity, Mississippi, the SEC, and college football generally. They will be paying for it in ways that are not obvious to them now. Not only will this not end well, it won't end for a long time.

    Well, Hollywood wrote the prequel.
