Is driving with a suspended license really STUPID SHIT? I mean it'd be better to not do that, but I could have done it before. Had a speeding ticket that a cop didn't turn in for a while. Called and checked for a few weeks to try and find out my fine, and then it slipped my mind. When I finally remembered, it had been a while. Not sure my license suspended, but it was long enough that if I had been pulled over before I remembered to call back, it probably would have caused me some problems.

I'm wondering why he got pulled over in the first place ?? Speeding ? Stop sign? Seat belt? Hit the yellow line ? Driving 46 In a 45???
Our guys need to just stay downfor a while... Including ones on current roster...

This isn't that big of a deal & will have 0 impact on his draft status. I've had a ticket that I forgot to pay & my license was suspended & I didn't even know it. I was pulled over for not signaling on a turn & the officer let me know that my license was suspended. He told me I need to take care of it ASAP, wrote my new ticket, & told me to take care of both immediately. I wasn't arrested.

There's plenty that's dumber than this but most of the time when a cop is willing to fill out an arrest report over driving with a suspended license its because it's been suspended for a while and the driver has just neglected to take care of it. Then again, given SPD's red rocket for football players right now I guess we can't safely assume that's the situation here.

I can understand letting it all slip with everything he has going on, but he's got people to help him manage stuff like this now. He probably could've taken care of it with a phone call and signing a check. It's part of growing up though. He'll learn.

I guess I am a square, uptight....whatever.......However, any time I received a ticket over the years. I made damn sure I knew when to pay the fine and I paid it on time. Because I knew the consequences and I wanted to avoid those consequences. Even as a new teenaged drive.
edit: for harshness. I see a thread somewhere else which explains some things. But still.......handle your business.

Just to clarify, Jones was arrested by the Oktibbeha Sheriff's Department & Prescott was arrested by the SPD. Two different organizations
