    Phil Steele's Top 11 for 2016

    http://fanbuzz.rare.us/story/ap-pres...e-projections/

    1. Alabama
    2. Clemson
    3. Oklahoma
    4. Florida State
    5. LSU
    6. Ohio State
    7. Michigan
    8. Baylor
    9. Stanford
    10. Tennessee
    11. Notre Dame

Probably as good as anybody's guess. There is no doubt the SEC is Bama and LSU in 2016 and nobody else close. I'll believe Tennessee when I see it

Om has to face 2 of his top 5 teams in September with Georgia on the schedule too. 1-3 could be a very real possibility

1-3 is a definite. They only return 9 starters and have to replace 4/5 starters on the OL.

If they start 1-3, they could be in big trouble. Here's the rest of the schedule...

    Memphis
    At ark
    At lsu
    Auburn
    Georgia southern
    At aTm
    At vandy
    State

Could the egg be for a bowl with the loser staying home? I don't think so, but possible

You could look at it the other way too. September Alabama is NOWHERE NEAR as good as November Alabama.

I think they're "back", Coach... will they be Top 10?... prolly not...

But if they continue to recruit like they have and can get players to stop raping co-eds, they are gonna learn to win (and win big) very, very soon...

When does UT rotate on yall's schedule?

    Interesting

Replace FSU, Baylor, and Stanford with Texas, USC, and Penn State and you'd basically have the top 11 (and still relevant) winningest college football programs in history.

I am buying into the Tennessee hype. I didn't this past year. I thought they were one year away. In 2016 big orange is going to be tough. I am glad we don't play them.

    Only time will tell though.

Sorry, I don't buy Tennessee as a top 10 program next season. They might be better and could make a run for the East but not that much better.

Yep... Last step for them is learning how to win/finish the big game. They had two massive 4th Q collapses against Oklahoma and UF, and had a late lead on Bama.

This can't be right Georgia isn't a pre-season top ten.** First time sine I can remember they are not there. I guess Tenn is going to take their place. Oh yeah I would put Michigan and Stanford in the top 5. LSU nope, still needs a QB.

Agree. They were close. Really their only bad loss was to Arkansas at home. Florida is going to get railed in Knoxville this year. I look forward to seeing a very small betting line for that game, and cashing in.

I'm with you, Bruce... Dig on this:

    2016 Tennessee Football Schedule
Sept. 3 vs. APPALACHIAN STATE - Heavy FAV
Sept. 10 vs. Virginia Tech (Battle at Bristol) - Heavy FAV
Sept. 17 vs. OHIO - Heavy FAV
Sept. 24 vs. FLORIDA* - FAV
Oct. 1 at Georgia* - Slight DOG/Toss Up
    Oct. 8 at Texas A&M* - Slight FAV/Toss Up
Oct. 15 vs. ALABAMA* - DOG
Oct. 29 at South Carolina* - FAV
Nov. 5 vs. TENNESSEE TECH - Heavy FAV
Nov. 12 vs. KENTUCKY* - Heavy FAV
Nov. 19 vs. MISSOURI* - FAV
Nov. 26 at Vanderbilt* - Heavy FAV

these cats will prolly win 9/10 and the EAST, IMO...

Their QB and RB are bad asses...

And which games does Butch go full tard and screw his team out of win? There will be at least two.

He's gotta "learn to win", as well...

Don't get me wrong, I love beating UT every year... But it's myopic to think that program was going to be "down" forever...

    they care to much...

Butch ain't the one. His ceiling for that program is 9-3 at best. MSU would take 9-3 every year but not programs like Tenn.

I give Butch two more seasons.
