    Probably just political maneuvering. They did this in Alabama last year when they threatened to shut down state parks.

    A lot of chatter about the state of La. having a budget crisis, but it could be political posturing , as you suggested. Lots of tax hikes being tossed around. All universities in the state will be affected according to Fox 8 in nawlins.

    We all know how to deal with this. A lot of government fat out there that could be kicked to the curb, but yet they threaten scholarships. Just like Alabama threatened state parks. Those two things are among the top reasons to live in those respective states, and the shit head politicians go after those.
