    That's a solid hire if so. Could definitely do worse IMO, what do you think?

    Oh, and is the Buckley talk more wishful thinking by State fans, or is that a realistic and even "likely" Safeties hire?

    Don't know about who usf had back from last year, but points were down around 5 per game. Sacks, tfl, and ints were way up

    What was told the last few years was Allen was heavily involved in UNM defensive play calling. Did a really good job at USF. Very good hire if true. UNM went from #1 to bottom half of the league this. Turned down Auburn job supposedly. I posted before the season that I thought UNM defense would go down this year without him.

    Supposedly several have turned Auburn, including Diaz twice. They were on the edge of a complete disaster with DC hire.

    I like Woody as well and if gets an opportunity could be pretty good but don't be ridiculous. Allen is every bit as good.

    meh- if we gonna disappointed about someone- I'd say Mel Tucker. He could have been a really good choice. Looks like he may be headed to Georgia
