    Quote from manny tonight

For all you know it alls that bitched about our safety's, here is what he said, "with the exception of one pass play to a tight end that a back up safety blew, EVERY pass down the middle was the lb's fault". I told you all our on drops werent good and he apparently thought so to, at least on those plays.

OK- so how is he going to fix that?

If we're playing team like A&M, we should start JT Gray over Zach Jackson. If we're playing a run oriented traditional SEC team, start Gerri Green.

He'll fix it a number of ways. but the main way is not preparing for a team like A&M until that game actually gets here. Correcting the mistakes in the USM game as if we are going to play that type of offense this week will be a crucial error.

I think Diaz will have the defense poised for what LSU will throw at us. Matter of fact, I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised in how different it will look and more importantly WORK. LSU may be talented, but they are predictable in ways USM wasn't.

I just don't think this game will be nearly as much about this player or that player but in how the entire unit handles its assignments. Fournette cannot be allowed to penetrate into the second level. When we accomplish that, it will force the LSU qb to throw more than he's comfortable doing and we will pounce.

Probably by making sure the offense doesn't get to have ineligible receivers downfield. The linebackers were making good reads that told them it was a run play because the linemen moved downfield at them so instead of backing off into coverage they pushed forward. Kinda tried to explain this to you the other night that the safeties were not playing bad, but you wouldn't listen then and probably won't now.

Yep, I know in high school I was always taught to watch the linemen on my reads. If they stay put, back into coverage; If they run block, fill gaps.
