Softball post-SBW 0-4 this week...........

Last week was a totally snake bit, craptastic week. We made plenty of mistakes but didn't really get much in the way of breaks. Less than stellar Umpires at SBW for BOTH teams but the tiny plate did more to hurt us than it did Tennessee. We have a midweek game against Memphis Wednesday night at 6pm that we must win. Heck, all of the remaining games may be. This weekend we play 2 games at Ga. Southern. They and Memphis are... not good. Got to win all three and then close the season with three at USCe the next weekend. I don't know that we have to win that series to make the postseason but we better not lose all three and losing 2 of 3 may mean we have work to do in the SEC Tourney. I'm still unsure if baseball postseason selection logic applies the same way to softball.

Memphis (14-27) is 218th RPI. Georgia Southern (12-32) is #136. We MUST NOT drop any of those 3 games. Note above that losing to USCe 2/3 will likely move them above us and KY is already ahead of us in postseason contention I believe. Somebody said we have work to do and they right I believe.

Wednesday night the gals defeated Memphis 11-3, taking their record to 32-16.

About to play two road games this weekend at Georgia Southern. Today's game is at 3pm with the second game tomorrow at noon. Either would be a "bad" loss and we have work to do going into postseason. Effectively may make these must win games.
