It is a hobby for me. Great social activity. Not anywhere near as bad for you as cigarettes according to research I read done by the University of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. I smoke maybe once a day when relaxing after classes or work.

I own both a small, single hose hookah for personal use and a 30" two hose hookah for groups.

My absolute favorite brands of shisha are Starbuzz Bold line, Al Fakher Arena line, and Tangiers. Starbuzz and Al Fakher are both unwashed shisha, which means that it hits harder and with more nicotine, while Tangiers is washed, which means that it has less nicotine, but the flavor is stronger. Tangiers also has well over one hundred flavors, including one called It's Like That One Breakfast Cereal, which tastes like fruity pebbles.

For coals, I go with Coco Nara coconut coals. They last forever and are cheap- I can get half a years worth for $15 at the closest store.

Here in Starkville, there are three shops to get hookah stuff at, but they all carry mostly the same thing: Fantasia, a mid grade washed shisha with some decent flavors, and regular Al Fakher, which is the Coca Cola of unwashed shishas- common and adequate, but nothing to write home about. The place closest to my apartment also has Nakhla, which is an unwashed brand from the UAE. It hits really hard, but the flavor is weak.

Any other enthusiasts?
