The Big 12 is a comical joke
Because of piss poor leadership and management the Big 12 (comprised of 10 teams) had to scrap together a conference during re-alignment. The SEC, ACC, Pac-12, and B1G all have at least 12 teams and a conference championship and yet we let little brother Big 12 tag along with us because they have OU and Texas. We let them not have a conference championship game because they say they are providing "a true champion" with their round-robin approach. Get the F out of here. With new Power 5 autonomy, the other 4 conference leaders should force the Big 12 to add 2 more members or add a conference championship game. What a joke.

Have they had a non tie conference champion since going to ten teams.

in their current format there will always be a head to head tie breaker.
but head to head doesn't matter for the selection committee... strange that the big12 could let Baylor win the conference but TCU ends up in the playoffs.

2012 was co-conference champion, 2013 Baylor was outright.

Hack, there is a head to head tiebreaker that determines who gets the auto bid, as was in 2012, both teams at the top can claim a conference championship albeit a co-conference champion.

It wasn't necessarily piss poor leadership, it was Texas. Texas wanted to throw its weight around and managed to royally screw that conference. Not sure there was anybody that really could have done better than Beebe. Maybe is A&M hadn't been such an underachiever for so long, them and Oklahoma could have kept Texas in check. But as it was, Texas thought they were all that mattered and there wasn't another institution that could convince them otherwise.

so dumb. remember when championships were decided on the field? If we had to split a conference championship with someone we beat, I'd be pissed.
