Someone on Twitter did a full statistical analysis

So in this image, the more red a stat is, the worse nationally that it is. The more green, the better the stat is nationally. It has definitions of each parameter in the image. You number gurus might enjoy this.

So, essentially we are a marginally better team because our defense negates the advantage they have on offense and their defense is not great. Numbers back up the theory. I'll take that.

Another thing to consider the is the quantity of 1b/c/d play in our numbers. Sure, they have some second team time too, but ours was... more.

It's an interesting analysis but like codedawg said there are too many variables that can't be measured this way, but that's what makes the analysis vs the actual game so entertaining.

Also some of the variables used don't have a sufficient definition ie doesn't explain the point system for PPP.

But the good news is this supports the theory that we should win.

Interesting. Success rate numbers on offense are very close on the play-by-play analysis.
