    Productive weekend in south Louisiana

Marsh fishing in Terrebonne Parish near our camp south of Theriot in the Dularge area. 30-35 reds in the 17"-26" range and 12-15 bass to boot. Lot of water movement over the weekend. We were in the area between Lake Decade, Jug Lake and Lake Mechant, if anybody is familiar with that part of S. LA.

That's an awesome haul. Congrats. I know a lot of folks are trout crazy but I love a good redfish trip too

ETA- what did you catch them on? Artificial? Shrimp?

We're pretty much strictly artificial guys. We caught them all on spoons, Baby 1-, and a few on spinnerbaits.

You're going to laugh but I've never caught a red on a spoon. I have some but have never used them. Just not a confidence bait even though it should be. I caught them this year on swim baits, topwater, shrimp, and cockahoes but never a spoon. I'm catch one on a spoon soon
