    Looking into a new fish finding sonar with "CHIRP" ability

    Has to have side scan along with down scan. Garmin, Lowrance, Hummingbird. Do any of you coast fishing guys have and experience with the new technology.

    kinda late to the party, but I ran into Scott Martin a month or so ago when the FLW was at Pickwick and he showed me some stuff that was pretty neat on the new Garmin units.. If I had about 2500 to throw away, I'd probably get one of those over the Lowrance and Bird units..

    Have yet to use side scan personally ... I have seen it and love it ... When I upgrade I will def get it ... Main thing is good gps and chart plotter for me ... And corresponding chip to go with it
