    809 lb Tiger Shark Landed in Texas

    Springs knew that whatever was on the end of his line was certainly a big fish, but he only discovered it was a tiger shark after the enormous creature surfaced five hours into the duel.

    In total, it took Springs seven hours to secure the shark alongside his boat and bring it back to shore.

    the longest fight I have ever had was only 40 minutes ( approx 200lb nurse shark ) and my arms were like rubber when it was over ... 7 hrs is completely beyond my comprehension

    It's a shame he kept it though. After a valiant 7hr fight, I'd definitely have snapped a few pictures, and released the beast back to his waters.
