BMac isn't going anywhere
just confirmed from a pretty reliable guy.

Good news. I definitely want him to be a first round pick, but selfishly we'd all love him back at least one more year.
Thanks for the info, Hack

MSU's new slogan should be:
Mississippi State Football: Making Mississippi kids millionaires since 2009. Mullen is building a damn player development factory.

Good news! He's an integral part of our SEC West Champs aspirations. Maybe we should be using him as a rush DE some next year.

This is a good idea IMO. If BM is capable, it skyrockets his draft status and helps us in the process

This is great news...
Let the rumors of him go viral though forcing all the NFL sites to review his tape and look at his measurables. It's just putting a spotlight on him going into next season.

Good point about DE. If the NFL is looking at him as a possible rush DE, why would we not be looking at that? He's a really good LB, but it almost seems that he's playing out of position because of his size. Aren't we deep enough at LB that we could put his hand on the ground some?

he could do it without question. However taking him out of the middle of our defense may not be the best use of him. if let him play in the middle every snap I could. the guy has a nose for the ball and is never lost. limiting him to DE, even on some plays, wouldn't be a good move for the defense although y'all are right it could help his NFL stock.

I love him sticking around. BMac is a beast! Mullen and Co's recruiting and player development ability should never again be called into question. It has taken our staff this long to build really solid depth and talent because the cupboard was practically bare when they came in. 8 win seasons should be the expectation for a while to come.

You could really see a burst in his step on the play early in the game where he hit the Rice player right at the sideline.

It opens up all kinds of new blitzes/plays and he can always just slide down to the flat or play contain/coverage as well as just speed rush the QB. I like the possibilities. I see why he's rated so high.

It is wise for McKinney to return next season. He has the potential to be the #1 overall draft pick in 2015.

Easy now, LBs don't go number 1 in drafts. Neither do running backs, safeties, nose guards, TEs, or kickers and punters.

#1 Overall? Come on, Mane

Please tell us that you meant #1 LB, or just lie and say that's what you meant.

Only negative I see with a move to DE is that we would not be able to fully take advantage of his speed. He definitely has the strength and size for DE but I love him at LB.

We're only talking about him playing 10-12 snaps a game as a "DE". He'd still play LB for 80% of the snaps.
