Darius Liggins DE out of Oxford
Im hearing Msu and Liggins are going separate ways. Maybe we did this to make room for a can't miss guy. Hopefully 4 star DE from Dallas, Trey Carter. Maybe we gave up on C Thomas and now we're back in the game and have to make room. Sorry if this has already been mentioned

Sometimes you have to make some tough calls. Liggins didnt do himself any favors lately. Wish him luck and another school will get a solid player.
Glad to see us making more room in the cooler for the bigger fish
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

For some reason we haven't had much success with Oxford kids.
Maybe a little foreshadowing of what was going to come headed off at the pass????

I don't think it has been mentioned here, but it was confirmed on 24/7 this afternoon.

Something about that city just doesn't allow good football to happen there.

There are going to be a couple of more that don't make it here, grades, won't take a grey shirt etc. it will work out.

Any ideas who might miss the boat due to grades?

Probably not a good idea to speculate on that on a public forum. CouldBeUsedAgainstUs

I was always high on Liggins upside. Dude has some crazy measurables. I wish him the best. I heard Steve R is saying he's headed to a CUSA school.
Completely not related to Liggins situation but most times when you start parting ways with kids it's not because you have worse options. As Homedog said, it will all work out.

I thought Liggins was one of our most underrated verbals. I also thought Trey Carter committed somewhere. .Ok St.??

Carter did commit to OK State, but apparently it isn't over with him and we are still in contact with him. Could take a visit.

We never gave up on Cory. IMO he jumped the gun after a fun time in Knoxville and committed to UT. I think after his OV in January he commits to us.

Every one that is talking to Corey Thomas is saying that while not a lock things look really favorable for MSU... Hes an inside guy though. You still have Taylor Stallworth from Mobile that is commited to South Carolina but has set up an official floating around. Hes listed as a DE but is 6'3 260 already so hes probably and inside guy eventually as well. Then you have Grant Harris that everyone thinks is just a matter of time. Another probable inside guy. We offered the kid from Florida and California that are both for sure DEs... Be interesting to see how the DL class shakes out.. Lots of possibilities but the obviously feel good about a bunch or them or they wouldnt have cut Liggins loose.

You can add Trey Carter to that board as well. We're still in on him, as others have said.
Hendrick would be huge, but apparently he has a ton of academic work to do.

Yeah, I just read that. He's ineligible to take any official visits until June because of the way his school semester is set up. He sounds like a late summer guy.

Hope we aren't cutting guys loose on the "hope" that we will get some guys. We did flip Fred Ross late last year but outside of that we have, under Mullen, when it gets late in the process historically been the flipee and not the flipper.
