    No, I have the same issue, regardless of the end device I use - iPhone, iPad or computer. I have set, on all devices "Default Style" - left bottom of screen setting.

    I have an ad "Little-Known Trick For Home Gutters" from Homebuddy in the middle of this post. I have had as many as 5 or 6 ads in the body of the post on one page alone. Most of the ads are from google. The same ad often shows up three times on the same page even if you click on ad covered content. They reply "Will try not to show this ad again", google ads. Making the threads unbearable to read. Also "plane crash found" & "Best Accident Attorneys in MS" at the top right now. Total garbage ads. Not even interesting "click bait". Using an Apple laptop right now but they also inundate my ipad & phone.

    I'm on a MacBook as well with the latest Safari. For a few days ads were between posts - very irritating. That seems to have cleared up, at least temporarily. Only get ads at the top and bottom and they're tolerable.

    Have a gigantic "Earth View and Satellite Maps" in the middle of this page two times right now. "Natori" women's intimate wear at the bottom. Shouldn't this one be the former "IMPP"?****
