Tolu--this year

tolu , has taken some verbal abuse from MSU fans. He didn't live up to their expectations. He only played in SEC games and we don't really know if He was 100% recovered from His injury. He averaged 15 point and about 9 rebounds a game. Most teams would be happy with those numbers. when you play for a team that only has 2 scorers, and you are options #1 then other teams number one goal is to stop option #1. We don't really do much to help Tolu and he has had some games where he missed some shots close to the basket. But most teams would love to have a big man who pretty much averages a double double. Thanks Tolu and best of luck going forward.

I hope people can appreciate how good he was, but also see he could've been a lot better (imo). If he had the tenacity of Cam Matthews he would've been unstoppable. He disappeared for large chunks of time seemingly every game. I think that's what's most frustrating for fans - to have your first team all-conference player go AWOL for long spurts.

In the history of Mississippi State basketball we have had 8 players (4 since 1963) selected AP First Team All SEC multiple times. Tolu is one of them. Great Bulldog.

Tolu represented us well and I wish him well in the future! He was dinged up pretty much all year and I know he was hurt again at the end of the season. He gave us all he had! Proud he was a Bulldog!
