Kohler and cupp have to hit better. I realize catcher will be a black hole, but there's no other option. If we're gonna make a run at the tourney this year, Kohler and cupp can't be black holes, and we can't go defense first on the left side

I'm not sure that Kohler is 100% back from his shoulder injury and I think it's affecting his hitting.

Yep. We need to bring him in late in games and move Mershon to second to replace Larry. And by late in games I mean no earlier than the 7th inning.

I think that would help Cupp out too because it would ease him in somewhat. He could still get an AB that way more than likely.

I agree. Let Cupp have all the midweek at bats at SS, cause he is the future. He just needs to get his bat going. You can platoon Larry and Mersh at 2B/DH during the midweek, but they both need to play come the wknd.

I think we are a good team and what Parker has done makes it even worse the last couple years on Foxhall. I would love to see what Parker could have done with Fristoe, Cade, and even Cerentola. The pitching is there as long as the bats stay hot. Now you’re gonna have games like tonight, we are playing one of the toughest schedules in the country as far as the SEC. Just have to survive and not get swept on the road and win our home series. We will surprise a good team on the road and take a series I believe. UF isn’t looking nearly as tough as we originally thought. They have struggled.

Dude we're missing our #1 starter on the road vs a top 10 team. If we can win 1/3, that's pretty good. Tomorrow and Saturday are the best odds of stealing one, particularly Saturday where pitching depth begins to favor us. Let's wait 2 more days and reevaluate the team then

Dohm may be our number 1 but he is not a number 1 in this league. He would be a Sat/Sun guy on most staffs. And as I have always said, multiple times on this very board as well, win your home series and do not get swept on the road and you will be in the NCAA Tournament. We're fine. We can afford a sweep if it happens because you did not believe you were going to get 2 vs LSU. It would suck, but would not doom us.
