Black jersey cost us a shot at a title. One play absolutely can mean it ain't smart. Basketball is different than football or baseball with black.

Players like the black jerseys. They have not won in the maroon jerseys this year so I doubt we see them again this year.

Auburn is only team in top 10 of offense and defense on KenPom. Something like 20 of last 25 Champions have all been top 10 in both. Auburn is a final 4 team and we just went toe to toe with them when we were gassed. Proud.

We missed 10 free throws, they missed 5. Put that along with Auburn bouncing in 2 different 3 point shots in the 2nd half and that's more than the difference. Not getting a foul on the 3 pointer from Hubbard was the biggest call that killed us. 5 point swing on that one.

But we likely will. We are just a poor free throw shooting team and all we can do is try to do enough other things well to make up for it. It will be a problem anytime we are in a close game. I don't feel good about any of our guys at the free throw line other than Hubbard.

State has still only lost one game when the opponents scored under 70 this year. The defense was great again today. The refs had to get control and that ended up costing State as the defensive intensity was taken away from our guys. You have to be extremely proud of this team after these past 3 games.
