I don't know about that; I would think it would be more pressure from the coaching staff to prove themselves. If players are listening and getting advice they will be much more from fans and taking all that in, then they are wrong.
That is the problem though. We have a culture issue. I have yelled it from the rooftops for 3 years now. We have a certain sect of fans, middle age males and females, that have a weird obsession with our players. They want to constantly hang out with them, go out to bars with them, and Snapchat with them. These are the people these players are listening to and they constantly tell them how gosh darn amazing they are. I understand if little kids idolize these players and put them on pedestals but we have grown men and women doing it. It is a culture issue that the staff has yet to put a stop to.
