    Where are the big bats?

We hit two doubles on Friday and didn't have another extra base hit the rest of the weekend. IIRC.

We had a few Sunday, but your point remains. No homers this weekend.

Yeah. I must've been blinded by my frustration.

Not the way this team is built really. We have 2 known for power and then a few with a little power and thats it. This is not a bully ball team.

Jordan has great power but refuses to hit gap to gap. He has 12 of our 55 K's.
Hines slimmed up to be more agile in the field and this has possibly cost him some power.

Larry has 5 XBH's in 8 games. Thats solid
Kohler has only really played in 4 games and has shoulder issues
Hugesak is off to a slow start with his .250 average
Bryce Trout doesnt have any power
Highfill has elbow issues and it's been tough to get him and Downs AB's
Our catchers arent big hitters by any means

Not surprising. That's what happens when you try to pull everything and you don't adjust.

Team slugging percentage is .384. That's beyond laughable against this schedule.

D1 rankings has 9 or 10 Sec teams ranked. In top 10 is dominated by Sec. I didn't see many so called mid level teams ranked. Gonna be hard I think to be in top 10 sec standings but maybe possible. I'm hoping and pulling for Lemonis.
Seems he has a pattern after a few yrs at Indiana and now MSU.
    Hope we sweep St Mary.

    Bunch of dead pull hitters.

Hines has trouble with Leftys, has no homers yet, and opposing teams incorporate a shift on him, so anything on the ground is an automatic out.

He has hit a couple of balls HR distance, but way foul. Again. dead pull.

We should?ve up the ante for Braden Montgomery. He?s hitting around 430 with 3 homers thus far. We could have used him, obviously.

Montgomery never wanted to come to State. That was his parents trying to get him back home. He simply didn’t want to come home.

If it had been about NIL we would gave gotten him. We missed on every other top portal target we went after so we all kinds of NIL funds available for Montgomery if he had been interested.
