    Vs Peay

Schuelke is putting together some really good performances. It's not gimmicky, it's legit.

And surprisingly, very accurate and consistent, Which is just as impressive.

That was a poor performance at the plate today. Jumpy in the box and taking way too many fastball strikes. Just not good.,

I can already sense the Lemon Lovers looking for other teams that lost today.

All the more reason he should have been used for one inning to nail down that 2nd game against AF. 3 innings is not too much to pitch over a weekend and using him today without the lead ended up being useless.

I don't necessarily agree or disagree, but if we hold a midlevel team to 3 runs, I'm not going to bitch about pitching decisions. We should be able to experiment with pitchers in those games and count on our offense to put up a decent number. If we try pitchers in different situations to see how they respond and it blows up on us, ok, second guess the pitching decisions but know that there is some value to finding out how pitchers respond in a game.

We may end up being ok when we get a couple of players healthy, but right now my assumption is we have probably fixed the worst of our coaching issues on pitching but otherwise we are still just a poorly coached team. A shitty offensive game against weak competition happens and usually more than once a year, so laying to eggs, especially early in the season in cold weather isn't a death knell. But putting up 2 runs twice in our first four games against weak competition is concerning to say the least.

Well so far 2 crappy offensive games out of 4 against weak competition so I wouldn't say we can count on anything. If Lemonis wants to survive he needs to win any game he can any way he can for now and worry about tomorrow later. If the past 2 seasons hadn't been so bad you could treat things differently but right now we need wins above all else especially when playing these low RPI teams.

Early or not losing two games doesn't help anyone with confidence after the last two year. It ain't just fans, players can lose interest fast in their "coach".

I'm hoping we turn things around, but in a few weeks we start Sec play, we all know it's going to get way more difficult.

Btw, i read the post about we are playing w/o a couple starters, so it tells me we lack depth and recruiting hasn't been very good. Who gets the blame for this? Asking for a FRIEND*

Also, on 6 pack a very good ex baseball has blasted Coach Go and the calling the players with looking in the dugout after a pitch and pumping their chest, I find this quite interesting, and he knows baseball and hitting way more than "we" ED coaches. LOL

Gonna be some runs scored today. Depleted pitching and a pretty stiff breeze, probably not a good combo.

Why did Parker let Hardin get crushed like this. The kid had walked two. He's coming off a horrible year, no need to test murphy's law.

Currently leading 5-4 and AP has a runner on 2nd. Holcombe coming in out of the pen...

I'll give him his credit. We Got the solid Holcombe this time. 3 pitch strikeout to get out of the inning

Can't complain a whole lot about pitching thus far but let's just admit it, Hardin is horrible. If we have to use him as a mid-week starter it's going to be a LONG year. He's not SEC material.

    These would've been Pico's starts.

Well I guess a walk run is as good as a hit. But 5 of them can't complain.

Man, turns out that walking is a pretty effective offense tactic.

AP has walks 13 today, MSU's hitting adjustment has been good today. Patience.

    But just 2 hits.

Can't understand how Highfill is DH. Seems MSU has higher ceiling Freshmen hitters that need the ABs. Nolan Stevens for example.

Runs scored so far are a mirage. Other than Larry's 1st AB, our offense has looked like a $3 hooker's handjob.....
