    First Community Outreach Capmpaign

Now that we are an officially recognized charitable non-profit, we would like to announce our first community service project we are seeking donations for. We want to supply every licensed daycare and nursing home with a Midland weather radio with SAME technology. These radios are programed with your location so that when a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning is issued for your county, it automatically turns on and broadcasts the warning. In these facilities it can take longer to get all of those under its care to the shelter location so they need as much lead time as possible. By providing them with these radios they will receive the warning as soon as its issued giving them as much time as possible to get those under its care to a safe place.

Children and the elderly are our most vulnerable citizens, and we want to do everything possible to keep them safe. We are hoping you will partner with us to help make that a reality. Remember, all of your donations are tax deductible. The spring severe weather season is rapidly approaching so please consider making a donation today.

If you own, work, or know somebody that works in a licensed child care or nursing home facility, and would like to receive a radio, please email us at info@nmscas.org with your facility name, address, contact information, and contact person. We will place you on our list and as funds become available we will get your radio to you.

You can go to our website, hit the drop down menu and go or donate or text NMSC to 53555.

We at North Mississippi Storm Chasers thank you for your support.

Thank you. We had a day care in Tupelo reach out to us earlier so they will be the first one to receive a radio. Those of you live in this part of the state or know those that do, let the day care centers and nursing homes know what we're doing and to contact us if they would like a radio. And for those willing to donate, none of this happens without you. With your help we can be there for people before, during, and after the storm.

We already have multiple requests for these radios. Enough to equal the funding we have had pledged so far. So if any of you would like to support this or know somebody that might, please let them know. We can currently accept donations by texting NMSC to 53555 or going to www.NMSCAS.org, hitting the drop down menu, and then selecting donate.

We are ordering our first 6 radios to fill requests today made by daycare. If you know of a daycare or nursing home that would like a radio please tell them to email us at info@nmscas.org.

And if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to support this outreach program and others that we will have such as medical supplies for chasers to have in their vehicles or to purchase disaster relief supplies for us to take to areas affected by tornadoes you can do so by texting NMSCAS to 53555 or going to www.nmscas.org and selecting donate from the drop down menu.
