Not explicitly, but offensive and defensive efficiency are a part of the formula, so winning by a bigger margin is better than winning narrowly.
Scoring margin is not why we dropped in NET though. It is because we are not the only team playing, every other team plays too.

Again, this is because every other team is not static. It is not as though State is the only team moving up or down. Viewing a change in NET after any one single game is a bad way of evaluating the change. Obviously losing a game to a meh opponent will drop you and beating a good one will bump you up, but in general wins against meh teams do not change your rating much. The changes up and down have more to do with what all the other teams are doing.

If we ever put a complete game together we can beat anyone. We beat OM, at time a tourney team, by double digits while missing like 15 FT in 2nd half. We are good enough everywhere to make up for horrible FT shooting and some nights TO machine yet still win. Pretty amazing.
If we can get hot and play clean watch out.
