I keep reading that now HF is gone, the NCAA will be more lenient.
What I see, is that if these "revelations " are shocking to the athletics dept,
Does that not give even MORE support behind the LOIC?
If their own people didn't know about HF and his escapades, especially w the rumors flowing for so long,
What else have they been blind to, like when it comes to lesser deals such as NCAA compliance.
IMO, this is another nail in the coffin, not one being removed.

Freeze's departure won't help one bit.
Additionally, it appears as though there is more information that will come out that will likely lead to another NOA.
This biggest mistake that all involved are making at OM right now is that they are trying to preserve things. Trying to preserve current players, recruits, style of recruiting, etc...
What they don't realize is the quicker they destroy everything they currently have, the quicker they will get back. Their attempt to preserve has led to this band-aid being pulled off slowly & more painful than it should be.
They just can't come to grips with the fact that everything they were & currently are is a fraud &, by trying to hold onto that, they are delaying the inevitable.

Just another bear 17 up to try and save face. If TSUN had any one there with the IQ above a tapeworm they would have said his firing had everything to do with the investigation. Then, just maybe, that theory might have a small bit of a chance. But no, to try and preserve their "image" they deny this and make it all about the hookers and actually say it has nothing to do with the NCAA investigation. So when they admit that why the hell would the NCAA decide to have mercy? They won't. And when the rest of this comes out there will be plenty of rueing and gnashing of teeth on the plantation.
NCAA won't forget Bjork and Freeze getting a promotion and extension right before NOA2 became official.
I would like to plant a seed of thought into the minds of fellow Elite Doggers. When the Court ordered the phone data to HN legal team, everything changed. Now the OM situation is running its new course in parallel universes. With the Court now involved, its findings are binding and not discretionary. The NCAA can very well put itself in jeopardy if its actions do not align with the Court. This being said, I am saying that the NCAA has lost unfettered discretion in fact finding because others are now significantly involved and reporting to the Court.Quote:

Freeze being gone has no bearing on the facts. And he wasn't fired by Ole Miss to show that they want to run a clean program. They were behind him then and they are still behind him now (as far as the NCAA stuff goes).
It will hurt Ole Miss because much of their defense is "we run a clean program lead by a man of impeccable character and when he tells you we are clean then you should believe him." That narrative has now been hammered.
It will help Ole Miss in the fact that I expect Freeze to get a suspension and a show cause. That would have hurt Ole Miss if they kept him employed and tried to get through it. But now a suspension of Freeze and a show cause will only affect his next employer (unlikely he finds one anytime soon, if ever).
The national media sure had it wrong with the USC - Reggie Bush saga. It took Court intervention to free up the real truth that no evidence existed to tie Bush parents benefits in San Diego to USC Football in Los Angeles. Remember this is stated in the in agency emails released to the public? The reckless and illegal conduct by the NCAA will really come to light when McNair and legal team gets paid.Quote:
