If he keeps this up, who will get processed? Don't someone have to leave to make room for the 3 we got coming in. I have a feeling it will be Eli Wright.
Can't someone just pay for school for a year or get an academic scholarship? MSU is dirt cheap tuition. Just pay them back under the table. This isn't difficult. Auburn has 19 players. My vote on who goes if we're not bend the rules is Herard though. If he can't learn to use his size and play big he's not much help.
I'm afraid we lose by 12+ tonight.
Peters should have never been the mock drafts to start. I'm sure he looked great in the showcase tour this summer, but lots of guys can look good against in situations where no defense is being played.
Lamar is very talented and probably enough so to make an NBA roster, but there is along way to go just in on the court maturity to justify a first round selection.
If he picks it up and leads us to the NCAA tournament, he could still get there. Oddly enough, he has very similar stats to what Westbrook had as a Sophomore. The season is still young.
We lose..... everyone bitches about howland and it's expected.
We win everyone bitches..wheres this team been all year.
I'll take option two, please and thank you.
I don't think our team is as good as our record or as bad as our SoS. Since I have actually watched most of our games and not just looked at the final score, I've found that our team seems to be up by a good bit at about half way through the second half, then they get bored and let the other team come back. Does that show youth and a lack of discipline at times? Sure. However, I do not expect this team to get bored while facing Cincy, so we will get to see what they actually look like against a team that is at least as talented that will also punch them in the mouth a few times. Keep in mind that a worse version of our current team took Kentucky to the wire last year- the talent is there.

Frankly, I'll be surprised if we keep it within 20. Until our offense changes from "jack up some 3s", we are going to struggle against real teams.
Our only chance is if we get hot from 3 and drain a ton of them.
You can switch to being a walkon and pay your own tuition. Jarvis Varnado did that so that Renardo Sydney could have a scholarship with us.
You can't switch to academic scholarship though. Anyone who was recruited and has a scholarship counts as a scholarship player, even if the athletic department doesn't fund it. (I believe this rule only applies in football and basketball, but I'm not sure. )
Lol, whatever. We will keep it close. I doubt we get blown out. I think it will be a close game but I’m not going to pull the trigger on us winning but it wouldn’t surprise me if we did. This team has a ton of talent and if they take a “it’s me against the world” mentality we could easily win this game. We will start all four stars on our starting five which is more then I could say about Cincy. We have 8 four stars on this team which is way more then Cincy. Like I said in a previous thread if we continue to play good defense, be patient on offense, and turn their turnovers into points like Florida did we have a great chance to win.
if we shoot better than 35% from 3 , we win this game by 8 or more points
I'm no basketball expert but I watched Cincy vs Florida and I wasn't that impressed. Florida played good defense and I think we can too. If we will drive instead of jack up threes we can get them into foul trouble. We are deeper than them which could help (assuming all our guys have removed their heads from their asses and not gotten suspended in the last few days). There is no question that we have as much talent as Cincy.
I'm curious to see our offense go up against a good defense and see if we can get some easy shots and get to the basket and not turn it over 20 times.
I think our defense will be ok. Last year we were bad there and we've improved. Still some work to do be a good defensive team but we're at least average there now. But we are going to have to score to win this one and that means no 5 minute droughts like we've seen several times this year already.
Q and Carter have picked up their shooting as of late and Holman has been solid all year but we need to get some sort of inside game going. Hopefully Datcher or Ado will play well.
Cincy has lost two in a row and have to play @ UCLA on Saturday. I expect they'll be highly motivated tonight.
Cincy is a good team, but we're better than our fans seem to think, and Cincy's not as good as some believe. It's on the road, so it will be tough to win, but they're not going to blow us out.
86-63 Cincy. Down 47-26 at the half.
I'm not sure what I think's going to happen tonight, which makes me all the more excited to watch the game. Both State and Cincinnati have feasted on lightweights, and have done so largely through solid defense. Both teams are in the Top 10 in overall defensive efficiency right now (Cincy is No. 4, we're No. 8). Cincy's rank must have been close to No. 1 before losing to Xavier and Florida, because its defensive performances in those games -- but especially vs. Xavier -- weren't great.
That said, Cincy has edges in many other categories, especially on the boards. Cincy is 13th nationally in offensive rebounding percentage and 24th in defensive rebounding percentage. We're 148th and 174th. Yikes.
A key in this game may be who's hitting their threes and free throws. Neither team is great at limiting opponents' three-point attempts (Cincy is 146th nationally, and we're especially bad at 299th), so both teams should have plenty of looks. On the flip side, both teams are in the top 75 nationally in limiting opponents' free throw attempts (we're 23rd and they're 68th), so free throw shooters need to capitalize on their opportunities.
Of course, this is college basketball, so who the hell knows. Here's hoping that our inside-outside game is clicking and our inside guys make life in the lane hard.
Have no clue about Cincy but figure that we're about equal athletically. I think that's the team we beat in the Great 8 to make the Final Four in 1996. Donte Jones, where are you?
Got to rebound
My prediction: 67-62 State wins!
Poor rebounding poor inbounds play
Poor defense too
Holman I take back everything I said about you taking 3's last 2 years, 12-19 this year
Q is sloppy as hell
Q is a horrible passer
We cannot rebound with them. We will not win
We can’t rebound
Woe is me!
