Odd. I'm not a subscriber but was able to read the whole thing.
Wall Street Journal saying they have obtained flight records showing Freeze was in Tampa on a recruiting trip the day he made the infamous call. Last I had heard, it was believed he wasn't in Tampa at that time.
Yeah, that caught my attention too. I thought the West Lot Pirates bloggers had shown Hugh was in Oxford when the call was made.

Think they had him in D.C. based on his tweets and then flying back to Oxford later that day. Sounds like Freeze was intentionally throwing out false location tweets. What a ****ing weirdo
Article also mentions there were other members of the athletic staff on the plane at different times during this 5 day recruiting trip to multiple cities.
From the SEC Country article
Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork said in response to questions from the Journal about Freeze’s travel that the university’s investigation uncovered “calls of a similar nature” over the course of several years, often matching up with travel logs showing the coach’s use of the school plane. The school said it examined his travel logs from peak recruiting times—often November, December and January—when Freeze would travel out of state, using the school plane and other public resources.
“When we say pattern, we are describing other phone numbers that when you Google them pull up similar type websites, services, however you would describe them,” Bjork said. “We took action swiftly.”
How was the WSJ able to obtain enough of the phone records to piece all this together? I though OM was still denying those records to Mars.
I'm calling bullshit. This is more spin by Ole Miss to cover up that he was calling them for recruits.
Have we checked to see if olemiss has an alum or friend of the university on staff at the WSJ?
The last paragraph of One of the articles states that the hooker calls were made around peak recruiting times.
Not a good look for hookers***
So, Freeze only called hookers at the peak of recruiting season in whatever town he was in? Bullshit. If he really is a sex addict those calls would be all year long and not just at the "peak of recruiting season".
As far as Freeze's Twitter account I had heard that Ole Miss had someone else running it for him.
I still say the 3rd option on all of this is most likely - Freeze used the hookers for himself AND recruits.
I don't buy it.
So if he was in DC and he is the addict everyone from OM seems to be claiming, then why wouldn't he just call an escort service in DC? Instead he calls a service in Tampa, and then secretly goes to Florida to meet up with this girl(?), and then heads back home to Oxford? That doesn't add up.
There is always the possibility that he had a specific girl(?) in Tampa that he was carrying on with, but that would make the "pattern of behavior" narrative from Bjork seem flimsy.
Those hookers were for recruits folks.
He was in Tampa and his assistants were with him at various points during that trip. And the "pattern" followed recruiting trips taken on the university plane.
Nothing really new.
Well, folks have obviously researched Barney's phone records. He and Freeze worked closely as the lead recruiters. So, if Freeze was pimping for his players and getting them serviced during heavy recruiting periods, then ole Barn was notified and involved as well. I mean Barney ran the operation, orchestrated travel/lodging/meals/clothing benefits, etc..... If he was so intricately involved in arranging comforts for the SA's, then I'm sure he facilitated the hookers as well.
Maybe Im misreading, but I see nothing in that article that makes me think the hookers were for Freeze. Reading between the lines, they were clearly for croots.
I never believed they were for HF anyway. With his salary I dont think he would need to go to backpage.com or craigslist to get a lady of the night.
With the big religious types, it's always hookers. They are portraying a fake image and want to protect it. You think Freeze is going to go down to the local watering hole and run game until he gets a taker to leave with him? Ya, I'm totally sure no one would take a pic and run to social media with that...
Guys, ladies for recruits has been going on since Moses. Head coaches are not the ones setting that up. It would be a guy like the booster from Raleigh, Keyes or something. I'm NOT accusing him of supplying ladies to recruits but that's the profile of a guy who would help provide something like that. A low-level grunts. And it would happen on OVs or UVs. When Freeze is visiting kids on the road he's meeting them with their coaches or parents. He ain't bringing hookers to the school or the living room. It's ludacris.
This is the craziest story in SEC coaching history and one of the biggest frauds of lifetime was exposed and that's not good enough for a lot of y'all. Y'all want it to be a minor prostitution ring. Come on
Absolutely. Ole Miss and Freeze built a brand around the godly coach. And now it is crumbling down. Admittedly, we have also tried to build a brand around Mullen. It is no coincidence that our assistants talk about hard work, development, etc. Mullen realized the 5-star diva was going to be hard to pull to Starkville. So he advertises hard work and development. And the assistants do the same. They use that brand of the "People's university" to go recruit small town kids like Benardrick McKinney, Aeris Williams, etc.
