It was 89 degrees. That's hardly boiling by Mississippi standards.

Liverpool, I think you should live for another day, it was hot although I sit under the upper deck level in the shade. As for as crowd, I don't worry about attendance, times have changed as TV has taken care a lot of folks staying home.
Btw, the as for as your comment about it hurting recruiting, I disagree, not many had official visits this past weekend, it matters "most" in Dec and Jan for visits where recruits get full attention.
I've been fortunate to have only been an hour away all my life and many times I have gone to games out of a sense of obligation to the players, rather than sit at home and watch on the tv.
However with the price of hotel rooms being what they are , I would certainly pick and choose which games I attended.
I have a disabled child and live 2+ hours away. I am an MSU alum who follows the sport as a hobby. I have given to MSU, and I will do so again, so I don't really need any crap over an opinion, and I certainly don't need any fan shaming garbage. I didn't realize posts on a message board qualified you for anything other than fandom. Posts on a message board don't make anything real, bud. You can log several hours on an online RPG and it not effect your life outside of that moment, and yet still enjoy it. Stupid response is stupid response.
I'm not about to get up at the butt crack of dawn and load my kids and wife in the car and drive the nearly three hours to Starkville to watch MSU beat a hapless BYU team into oblivion. I'm sorry if that doesn't qualify me to be a fan, and I am certainly not about to drop $250 a night on a two-night-minimum econo brand hotel just to watch football. I COULD do that. But i'm not gonna. lol I'd rather write the university a check, sit out by the pool, and turn the deck tv on while I mix tinis.
