I think he made an all-conference team his SR year at Memphis, but he never "panned out" and was always overweight...
I don't think he got drafted or played in the NFL, but I didn't look it up....

from what I remember, y'all had a pretty rogue big money guy living in Mempho at the time and the h.s. coach was the one who took money. (not sure what he did with it)
there was some UT internet bad ass that exposed it if I recall.
at any rate, that shit sent bamer football back quite a bit if I recall. they musta hammered y'all's ass pretty bad.
Logan Young was the UA booster... He ended up dead after falling up some stairs...
The internet guy you mentioned was a UT Booster (Roy Adams) that kinda played a "Rosebowl" character... Gary Parrish's claim to fame was breaking the story...
Pre appeal sanctions approached the DP and included ~30 scholarships...
FWIW I think that tweet about Pruitt turning down $5M a year because Tennessee didn’t wanna let him coach the playoffs is from a (very well done) fake twitter source.
Great perspective as always beast. It?s glaringly obvious but nobody cares to admit it or recognize it. State has passed a lot of programs in the SEC and right now State > Tennessee.
Well, looks likes Pruitt will actually accept the job now.
It will be interesting to compare the job that Pruitt does vs Moorhead to see if Cohen got it right.
Of note, Pruitt being in the East will be another thorn in Don’s side.
I don’t know if Pruitt can coach a lick of offense or knows how to hire an offensive guy, but he should be able to recruit.
Pruitt may be great, but my issue is that Tennessee has the same issues as us. They are the number 3 recruiter in their division and have Bama on the schedule each year. By hiring Pruitt, they’ve made the decision to try and out Alabama & Georgia; Alabama & Georgia and they won’t ever have more talent than those guys.
To win with less talent, you’ve got have an offensive guy that can put up points with less talent.
Showed up for his deposition in the Cottrell lawsuit wearing a business suit, a coonskin cap with the tail, and carrying a bottle of bourbon.
He was nuts. Rich, but nuts.
And admittedly paid for a ton of players at many different schools. He would have them bought and if Tenn. didn't want them, he'd send them to someone else.
