You know it's going to be hard for him.
I think only if "his guy" struggles. As long as cann is having success I think Cohen could sit back and enjoy the success because he would definitely feel like he had a large hand in it.
Don't think it will be hard at all. Cohen was obviously ready for something else and is right where he wants to be at this time. He will only be as involved as Coach C wants him to be or as the AD job requires.
I think he will stay out of it but it won't be easy for him. This is his first year out of a dugout since what the late 70's early 80's? He is a competitor at heart so it will be tough. I think with his new position he understands that he will have to stay out of the way though.
To be honest, I really hope Cohen sits behind the plate and dawg cusses the ump every time he disagrees with a call.
Doubt we even see JC at the park today.
Well, did anybody see JC at the park today? I didn't.
Cohen is on record as stating that Cannizaro is a much better baseball coach than he is. He's not dumb enough to try and interfere.
Story that I heard was that Cohen was in CA visiting his daughter(s). If so, class move by Cohen to not take any of the Opening Day spotlight off Cannizaro, imo!!!
How different this is than the last time we made a coaching change. Hopefully Cannizaro will do well as I expect and totally unite the MSU fanbase.
