Dauphine Orleans hotel. Just got back from a trip down there the weekend of 9/29. I'd highly recommend it!

The Quarter is going to be busy Thanksgiving because of the Bayou Classic between Grambling and Southern. That's probably why the hotels are booked.

Check out the Fairgrounds for TG day dining. Friends of mine go there ever TG. they say it's great.
be aware that a lot of stuff is closed that week and it is also the week of the Bayou Classic. A lot of folks will be in town on the weekend, it could be hard to find a room.

I would try this. Last Thanksgiving we stayed at the Marriott on St. Charles and it was a little noisy. Also no on site parking, but they do have valets. It looked like the Marriott on Canal had on site but you can verify if you get reservations there.Quote:

Le Pavillon is one of my favorites. Its on Poydras st. which is about a 20-30 minute walk to the quarter
