such a let down if true. . .
Would not hold my breath that this is over......
Please send link..... Thanks
And the Ole Miss faithful will call it a win lol
If that is true...then the timing is awful coincidental....seeing as it was leaked yesterday that Mars wanted to subpoena the phone records of Bjork.
Doesn't matter, he's uncovered enough to get national writers onto it.
Can we pay Mars to keep at it?
Bjerk may want to settle, but that doesn't mean Nutt and Mars agree to settle.
Is Nutt going to give Rosebowl a little love for finding the magic bullet?
Maybe Bdork said in his Macho Man voice "Let's settle this...in the ring!!"

What is stopping Nutt from talking before, or sharing information before the meeting and non-disclosure yada yada?
Probably just reserving leverage in the event they don't settle. Reserving his bullets. He can always hang it over their heads throughout the process to get them to do what they want.
Also, Nutt and OM have a non-disparagement agreement, which is the grounds of Nutt's lawsuit (breach of contract). If Nutt turns around and talks to reporters, he's got a counter claim to deal with. While Nutt cannot disparage OM, his attorney can as long as it is deemed to be relevant to proving his client's case. An attorney like this will bend and stretch those rules to apply pressure.
If this happens, the wording of the public apology and settlement figure ($10MM +) will be historic. I would not be surprised if the settlement was in excess of $15mm. IMO, the public apology will be lengthy and preapproved by Nutt.
I don't think that "Mistakes were made" will cut it.
Which one do you choose?
A: Settle - Costs you an untold amount of $$$, an embarrassing public apology and admits to the world (and more importantly the NCAA) that you lied to recruits and the national media about the nature of the NOA.
B: Go to court - Probably lose, still have to pay an untold amount of $$$ to Nutt, risk exposure to potential death penalty evidence being exposed by Nutt's lawyer along the way.
If they settle, it tells me that admitting to the NCAA and everyone that they lied to recruits and the press along with whatever penalties that may bring is nothing compared to what they fear Nutt's lawyer will find if he keeps digging.
The Lawsuit is against the University of Mississippi and the Ole Miss Foundation. Bjork can't settle anything, he's powerless in this matter.
probably will make him sign a non disclosure agreement so he can't talk to reporters or Steve R anymore ... probably the smart move
