Stapleton should never touch the ball on offense
We can be frustrating to watch with some of our decision making but we played pretty damn good. I?m enjoying it.
If I were Howland I'd tell X he'll sit on the bench for the rest of the season if he shoots another 3. Although he had the good shooting game in Jackson, he has absolutely no concept of shot selection.
Really good place for us right now up at the half. Given that we've been a second half team thus far this season, I like our chances.
32-28 dawgs.
1-12 from 3 and still up. Hopefully we can shoot a bit better in second half and pull away.
Watching this team still makes my head hurt though
Love the D! Am I crazy but how about a few offensive sets?
We just held the top scoring offense to (average 90 points) to 28 points in a half.
Defense wins championships. Offense will come. I would rather the offense struggle a bit now and get hot in the tourney
Watching these Vandy highlights we better full court press then the whole time. They were a turnover machine against thatvlate Bama pressure
We can’t shoot from the perimeter to save our lives. Defense is great. Ado is a game changer defensively. Nick is too and Q is playing off ball D way better coming up with key plays.
We’ve got to make easy layups on our put backs. We don’t shoot well enough to miss those. We also have to make our free throws.
The problem with X is half the time he never sets up for his shot, he’s always fading to one side which makes it impossible to be a consistent shooter. When he gets set he shoots it pretty decent. I really thought he’d be a better slasher for us though. We don’t really have anybody that excels at getting the ball off cut and scoring
well hopefully we come out shooting hot like we have done so far this season. Ado please quit being timid when you get the ball and go up.
Peters playing well also tonight
This team looks like a Richard Williams team. Plays hard and defends. Do what you can on the rest
We’ve only turned it over 3 times though, and winning second chance points 7-0. We keep that up I like our chances. 3 turnovers and that’s with Ado playing and getting trapped when they let him get it.
11/31 overall shooting = .355
1/12 3-point shooting = .083
10/19 2-point shooting = .526
The answer seems obvious to me... less 3s
He doesn't need to find his stroke. He's never going to be a consistent shooter because, like Iron said, his fundamentals are bad, and he doesn't seem to understand shot selection. Way too often he jacks up 3's early in the clock and/or with a defender in his face. If he'd wait for open shots with his feet set he'd probably shoot pretty well, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
