Proud of these kids! They keep fighting! I bet c34 is going crazy because Luke is killing the bears with his bat!
Folks...Henderson didn't want to use up arms tonight even if it is uofm. This weekend is more important.
He has been awesome and I take it back from what I said earlier. If we get him and Stovall back next year to anchor the middle infield that’s a great start defensively. I don’t know if I would put him second in the lineup but he would probably be 3 or 4. Macnamee is starting to really come through as well but we have him buried towards the lower part of the lineup. Our freshmen are starting to hit too. If the draft doesn’t rob us of some of our juniors, the new coach will walk into a good offense. Self and Price should anchor the back part of the bullpen. I still say the right hire and we won’t miss a beat.
Pages 8 and 9 of this thread are now hilarious even if they are fundamentally still relevant. :D
We are now 6-1 against top 10 teams! Amazing
Take him out Leave him in is a crap shoot. But walking the lead or winning run is just dumb!
I was shocked, you just don't see that often.
I wonder what all of these individual players could do if, say, there was some kind of -- I don't know -- a knowledgeable strategist who thoughtfully assembled them and molded them into a force with an organized approach that consistently maximized their strengths and minimized their weaknesses, planned to use them in that way, and reacted swiftly and thoughtfully when circumstances indicated that a revised approach was necessary. Like they were managing the overall efforts and contributions in a systematic way. If only something like that existed!
This is really irrelevant wrt France. If you warm him up and bring him in the wear and tear to get 3 outs vs 1 out given a win over a Top 10 team was at stake is really miniscule. And resume wise this win tonight was just as important as this weekend even though it didn't count in the SEC standings. Plus all our arms get 2 full days off after tonight prior to the weekend series.
Is Smith our 17ing closer? He is ahead two strikes and he hangs a curve your Granny could smash. How is that Hendersons fault. If he had left France in and he got hit, then people say , wtf, where is Smith. Damn didn't we win? Is our team up from the ashes and playing their butts off? Could it be Henderson might be doing ok? Are we 6-1 against top 5 teams? Is that Hendersons fault? It is all subjective. Second guessing is for pussies.
RPI at 35.
I plead guilty. I just made a comment a little while back in passing so to speak on a term I got from 34. I was called out on it in too harsh a fashion and stated that I would relent. throwing in the towel to keep the peace so to speak.
But after what I saw today and what Luke Alexander has done of late, we should NEVER make fun of our players with silly nick names.
We should be more about 17 tusun, stupid coaching decisions , and other shit than making nicknames on those who sign the MSU doc making them Maroon and White.
Peace Out.
LA when asked about Bianco walking Jake to get to Luke....
“It pissed me off. I know (Mangum) is the best hitter in the SEC and has been for 2 years, but the way I looked at it was disrespect to me, saying I couldn’t get it done.”
