You're right it's not a fireable offense at most places depending on who the two parties are- BUT there is a difference between someone "at will"- which is what most of us working stiffs are and someone under contract- which is what SEC coach is. If the contract has a clause that says that it's a fireable offense, then the coach is fired no matter who the two parties are.
As far as Freeze- I'm pretty sure they fired him because Tom Mars knew more than he let out and told them to fire Freeze or it was going to get worse for them.
It’s official
So do we hire an interim assistant for the staff?
AT LEAST WE DIDN'T START A MEN'S SOCCER TEAM!
It's getting really hard to read some of this. She and her husband are family friends. I don't know what's true and what's not, but no one knows for a fact that she has done anything wrong to this point. It's all speculation. If it did happen, then that really sucks for all parties involved.
Forget the rumors, the entertainment value of this thread is priceless. The humor here is better than reading the Sunday comics. Some great one-liners.
I hate this. Dude seemed to embrace being a Bulldog. Can't remember a coach going all out for other sports teams on campus like Cann. Wish him the best of luck and hope like hell we don't have to face him soon at LSU.
The male cheerleader from Jackson prep covered it up for his ?friend? that he put in charge of the bulldog club. He needs to be fired immediately... BUlldog Club is a laughing stock..... They would get lost if they had to leave Oktibbeha County to solicit money unless Everette the Bus Driver was driving them...
Cohen doesn’t put up with sweeps to USM.
Firing or terminating a MS State government employee for cause is a very serious situation, and is usually for a severe error(s) or judgement on the employee's part.. So I would say there was no other options or alternative in this matter for our administration to consider.
