Yeah. 24/7 wrote a great article about Lebby's first OC job (after the Baylor stuff) at Southeastern, a NAIA school. They got a quote from an OL that was on his team saying that his favorite part of the offense was that by the second half, the defense was so gassed that they'd see the pass rushers have to leave the field for a few plays to throw up. I don't know if we will see that much against SEC conditioned foes - NAIA is basically 13th grade football - but that should give you an idea of pacing.Quote:

You may be on to something there. I think Lane is the best in football at scripting the first two drives. Have any of yall noticed how fast they play their first two drives and if they score both times, they keep their foot on the offense the rest of the game. But, if they do t score on the first two drives, they slow down a little bit and the game is usually a dog fight. It doesn't look like many, if any, offensive adjustments are made.Quote:

It hit me when I saw Lebby making adjustments in the second half of both games. His offense never really stalled out. He had answer for just about every defense they played.
There are some really good videos of Lebby breaking down his QB Pre/Post snap reads on his RPO. There a lot of other ones breaking down his run blocking and offensive schemes. Dude is super bright. The good thing is the offense seems pretty simple and should be easy to grasp.

From seeing what I saw, you need a QB with a really good arm to really stretch the field. Can yall imagine Will Rogers trying to throw a ball from one side to the other like what Huepel runs at UT.
