Game thread here and will update score in thread title...

We need Florida to win 2 of 3. Got runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the second and a chance to build a nice lead early.

3-2 Florida bottom 6.

The title apparently doesn't edit back into the OP unfortunately....

You can edit the title- just hit the "go advanced" button

Coach, I tried that -- it changed the title in the post -- but not the title listed on the thread. May have just been a bug with that one edit...

Gotta feel for that kid. That's a terrible way to lose.

Yep. But the fact is, his ass was hosed by a mile at the plate anyway... That was an absolute perfect play and throw from the RF on the liner hit right at him.

That was a fantastic finish. You're right, the guy was dead at the plate even if he hadn't fallen. That was a laser from the right fielder.

They might have tied it up or won without that bunt in the 9th.

They did bunt in the 9th. Leadoff runner over to second, giving up the first out...

If you ignore that AB altogether, the 2nd out made could have possibly gotten in the 6-hole with the SS @ double play depth instead of normal depth with a runner on second and possibly put runners at the corners or runners at first and second with 0/1 out. If he gets to third, the single ties it. If he's at second, I think you probably give him a stop sign at 3rd with less than 2 outs...

Either way, the bunt ended up being the wrong play there...
