We are near 300 users after 48 hours of IT being announced.

Tell your State friends to come on over, the water is fine. Email them, tweet them, however you can let them know.

Lets make a goal to get 500 users by Friday.

From the welcome announcement sticky:

Elitedawgs is a non-profit message board that exists solely to give Mississippi State fans a place to talk. Right now, there are no ads, no popups, no banners, nothing but a message board. That may be subject to change at some point, depending on traffic and expenses.

There will not be a significant number of rules here. Things that will not be tolerated in any capacity and will result in a user being banned include:

1) Personal attacks on another user. You may disagree with someone, you may dislike someone. If you start making it personal, you'll get banned.

2) Kiddie porn. Instant ban.

3) Ole Miss antagonists. Don't come on here are start talking trash about Mississippi State, its fans, coaches or players. Instant ban.

See - it's pretty simple. We hope you enjoy Elitedawgs.

How is the traffic over at 6 pack? I don't know since I banned myself before HD6 could get a chance because I think an MSU fan should be able to speak ill of the rival on an MSU board.

I thought this was to be a Ms State board only without the intrusion, no matter how nice they are, of OM fans/posters? So this means OM fans/posters can actually be a part of this board for State fans only?

I have been going to both sites since joining over here and traffic seems a little down but not too bad. There seems to be some sandy ******s over there about this board though. One of the moderators that I actually like a lot, made a comment about "this group of posters" as if we are all the same. That kind of rubbed me the wrong way because I wasn't planning to abandon SPS, nor will I talk bad about them...I think there are several others that are planning to visit both sites too. I like having the variety of two boards, so I don't see why any of us should be looked at like traitors....especially if we are still active posting members over there.

I do agree with you about HD6 though. At first I thought HD6 was kind of funny, but his power trip got old a long time ago. He will allow an Ole Miss idiot to instigate an argument and trash MSU, and then when a State fan defends MSU we get banned....that's dumb as shit. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of people that completely abandoned SPS, did it primarily because of HD6.

I think DerHntr, D@A, and DS are really good guys and I have always liked discussing things with those guys. They even helped me out with some good personal advice a while back since they had been through the same thing I went through. I just don't feel like you have to be either a "SPS guy" or an "EliteDawgs guy", but maybe others think so.

I still plan on posting over there...but if they try to act like all of the posters that signed up here are not needed or wanted, then I guess I'll leave there. I may have been wrong to hope that both boards could coexist without there being some angst.

agree on all points ... I never considered registering here as some kinda act of defiance or making a statement ... I think both boards can get along well enough ... the boards seem to have slightly different personalities ... I've noticed some new posters here that I never heard on SPS and it is probably because they were afraid of getting shelled by mortar fire from some of those posters ... flip side is sometimes it was funny as hell to watch ... I really hope this doesn't morph into some kinda pissing contest between the two, but there was a need for this board and it can't be denied

As long as they do a great job of posting about how much they like MSU- they are fine

DS seems like a great guy and hasn't shown any ill will that I'm aware of. I think most of that was coming from a few moderators or other posters, but I don't read a whole lot over there. It's great comic relief, but in general when I visit a state board I just want state related information.

yeah imagine the concept of having a sports board devoted to a specific team where its members arent required to kowtow to the fans of its biggest rival. what a novel idea

Sixpack looks to get worse with our move.

Good for them. They need more Rebel posters on Sixpack, I think that's a great move

DS has been fine. No need to trash them- the posters that ran their mouths are ones you would expect it from. This move was good for us and probably good for them as well.

I've always liked DS. It's HD6's online personna that I can't stand, yet in BSR he's pretty good.

It's probably going to work out well for both SPS and Elitedawgs. Some folks like to chat with Ole Miss people, others don't.

I thought it was hilarious that the Ole Miss people are happy that "rational" conversation can start.

I listen to B and B but they just need to be a bit more knowledgeable about the baseball team. Just constant fumbling of the basics, you can just tell neither come from a baseball background. Is there any show that does a better job with baseball? I've never listened to anything else.

Well, being over here, I wonder if I killed my co-hosting baseball guru opportunity completely.

I am a poster on both of the boards and will continue to be. Even though there are a few things about sixpack that I do not like, it's still a great board and alot of fun for me. It keeps me connected with the University and provides humor and information throughout the day. Nothing about sixpack will change. This board will not kill sixpack and might not have an effect on it at all. It simply provides a differnet forum and different perspective on MSU.

There's more than one way to skin a cat.
